JOHN PRUKOP - Chairman
Mr. Prukop lives in Jim Wells County and has been farming since 1974 in Jim Wells, Nueces and Kleberg counties. He has a BS from Texas A&I University in Agricultural Economics. Mr. Prukop was elected by the stockholders in 1990.
PAUL WOOD - Vice Chairman
Mr. Wood lives in Waller County where he owns and operates, with his brother Charles, a farming and ranching operation raising corn, cow-calf production, and a pre-conditioning facility. Paul also has interests in quick lube oil change facilities. He is a past president of the Waller Independent School District Board of Trustees, serving as trustee from 1998-2008. He is a former mayor of the City of Waller, serving from 2008-2010. He has been a member of Texas AgFinance since 1991 and was appointed to the board in 2010. He maintains acceptable class loans with Texas AgFinance.
JACK HARBISON - Director
Mr. Harbison, vice chairman of the board for AgCredit of South Texas, has been a member for 46 years. Mr. Harbison is a director of Hidalgo
and Cameron County Irrigation District No. 9. He is a former member of the Hidalgo County Farm Service Agency
Committee, board member of the Rio Grande Valley Sugar Growers, Inc. and board member of Rio Farms, Inc. Mr.
Harbison farms cotton, milo, seed corn, vegetables and sugarcane in Hidalgo County. He has been a member of the board since 1992.
DAVID HENNEKE, Outside Director
Mr. Henneke is an independent investment advisor who provides investment and brokerage services from his office in Alice, Texas. He is a 1974 graduate of Texas A&I University with a BBA in Finance, and has more than 20 years of banking experience.
RAY HENRY, Director
Mr. Henry was elected to the board of directors in 1992. He is a partner in the Henry Brothers farming and ranching operation, located in Uvalde County. Mr. Henry has a BS in Agriculture from Texas A&I University. He was formerly on the board of directors of Uvalde PCA and serves as chairman of the Uvalde County Appraisal Board.
RALPH HESSE - Director
Mr. Hesse lives in Uvalde County and is president and manager of Chaparral Feeders, Inc., a custom cattle feeding operation. He also owns and manages a row crop farm in Uvalde County. Mr. Hesse has been an association member since 1975 and was elected to serve on the board in 1995.
JESSE HOWELL - Director
Mr. Howell lives in Jim Wells County, where has has a cattle feedlot operation. He was appointed by the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of Texas to the board of directors in 1982. Mr. Howell was elected by the stockholders in 1983.
JOE LITTLE - Director
Mr. Little lives in Zavala County and has owned a ranching business in Zavala and Dimmit counties for the past 28 years. He is an attorney and a certified public accountant. Mr. Little was elected by stockholders in 1989.
TOMMY SHEARRER - Director
Mr. Shearrer has been a member since 1992. He is a resident of Atascosa County where he ranches, owns a peanut buying point, a construction company and rental property. He also serves as President of South Texas Weather Modification Association and Texas Weather Modification Association. He was elected by stockholders in 2011.
BILLIE MACK SIMPSON - Director
Mr. Simpson has been a member for 34 years. He currently farms cotton, grain and sugarcane in Cameron County. He has a cow-calf and yearling operation. Mr. Simpson has ranching and hunting interests in Duval and Jim Hogg County. He also serves on the board of directors of the Rio Grande Valley Sugar Growers, Inc. Mr. Simpson was elected to the board in 2010, previously serving on the AgCredit of South Texas board. He has been a member since 1970. |
